ExpressHeader Facts
SJS Components ExpressHeader was developed to be a cost reducing, time saving, energy efficient window and door header for 3-1/2" and 5-1/2" construction. The ExpressHeader is a structural product manufactured with 1-1/4" APA approved LVL. Its foam core is an Expanded Polystyrene that helps eliminate unnecessary wood fiber. This allows you to utilize only what is needed structurally.

Since it is a one piece "express" install the days of building window and door headers are over. Available in lengths up to 16', cutting is easy and effortless. Two different nailing patterns also makes nailing a breeze.

Not only does the ExpressHeader save you time, it offers a strong selling point for you to your customers. Many window and door headers are not insulated. However, the ExpressHeader offers an R Value of 7.75 on the 3-1/2" and 16 on the 5-1/2". This will help your customer reduce their energy use since the whole wall will now be insulated.
